Morning
Matthew 12:47-50 (KJB) Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
There is a great difference between blood relatives and the Spiritual family of God, because one of them is temporal, while the other is eternal. Anyone can become a part of the family of God, but it requires becoming a follower of Christ Jesus and submitting wholeheartedly to the will of God. Jesus teaches that we can become His brother, but it will all depend upon your humble obedience to the calling and purpose that the Heavenly Father has for your life. The incredible kindness of God, who through His mercies, grants us the opportunity to become a part of a brand new and everlasting family, one that will never be separated, and will abide in the kingdom of God forever!

Evening
Mark 16:15-16 (KJB) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Being baptized by submersion is a requirement in the Christian Life, but those who don’t have the faith to do this, will certainly not obtain eternal life. In order to be baptized, a person must be old enough to make the conscious decision on their own, that they are entering into the Christian Life and beginning a brand new walk with God. When I baptized each of my children, they were the ones who approached me, and understood completely what they were doing. When we are baptized underneath the water, we are putting to death the old person that we once were, and are completely forgiven of our previous sins. When we rise up out of the water, we begin a brand new life as a child of God, but God requires that through faith we depart from iniquity, turn from darkness to the light, and bring forth works that are meet for repentance. Baptism is only the very first baby steps of one’s walk with God, but to inherit eternal life will require faith, which ultimately will result in a complete transformation from a sinner into an obedient Saint of God.
