Thoughts of the Day 6/20/26

Morning

Philippians 2:4 (KJB) Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

In the human nature, it’s pretty easy to just think about yourself, but it is a Christlike quality when you are readily concerned and think about others. That’s the difference between being humanly selfish and Divinely selfless.

Evening

Philippians 2:5-7 (KJB) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Can you imagine a president or a king walking around among his subjects in plainscloths? Can you imagine a police officer driving around in his squad car without any identifying clothing? Can you imagine a high-ranking general choosing to leave all of his metals and apparel in his bedroom, and putting on his street clothes instead? Jesus appeared to this world just like everybody else, a commoner, a carpenter, and a fisher of souls. He is the author of humility, something that this world is completely void of, coming down to the level of sinners, in order to reach out and to save the lost. There should never be a day where mankind should cease to thank God for His incredible mercies, for He is the architect of meekness, and the Everlasting creator of kindness.
