Morning
Luke 18:7-8 (KJB) And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily….
We are not supposed to avenge ourselves, or even go to law enforcement or earthly courtrooms for justice. But when we are wronged by others, we can petition the Lord God of hosts and cry out mightily unto Him. We can cry out day and night unto Him to avenge us of the wicked things that others have done towards us, and He will swiftly come to our aid and pour out His wrath upon them all. Praise God!

Evening
Luke 18:24-25 (KJB) And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The scriptures are clear that the love of money is the root of all evil, and one of the reasons why is because people love their wealth more than their poor neighbors. The thought of this man having to do something good with his wealth grieved him terribly, insomuch that he was incapable of following after the Lord Jesus. Many people will attempt the Christian Life but come up short, because the cares and the riches of this world will consume their hearts, rather than a love for God.
