Hebrews 6:1 (KJB) Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward.
God,
If you were playing baseball in the backyard and happened to hit the ball right through your neighbor’s window, how many times would it take you until you finally learned your lesson and turned around and started to hit the ball in the opposite direction? If you were pounding nails into a 2×4, how many times would you hit your thumb until you finally learned to keep it out of the way? As a christian, we are called to depart from iniquity and be transformed from a sinful creature into a Saint. God doesn’t want us repenting over and over again from sinful works, and just like learning not to touch a hot stove, we must learn to go and sin no more.

Hebrews 10:4-5, 22-24 (KJB) For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Animal sacrifices can never take away your sins with God. They were only a temporary covering for a period of time in the Old Testament, until God sent His precious Son Jesus as a sacrificial lamb to die on the cross for us all. When we are baptized by submersion, all of our past sins are washed away, and the guilt of our conscience is cleansed by God. The Apostle Paul was forgiven for a lot of terrible things that he had done in his past, but he teaches us that we must wash away our sins, and then fully trust in Christ, because He promises to save you. But what is required is to repent from the dead works of darkness and completely give our lives over to the guidance and direction of our precious Lord Jesus, and I guarantee that if you do this, thou shalt live!
