Thoughts of the Day 7/13/26

Thoughts of the Day 7/13/26

Matthew 9:12-13 (KJB) But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Sin is a sickness but Jesus is the remedy, because He can heal us completely through His mercy and Grace. He laid down His own life on the cross so that we could be forgiven for all of the wicked things that we have committed. Repentance towards Christ is the answer, when we turn away from the works of darkness and begin to walk in the light. Through Him we each have an opportunity to turn into a brand new creature, and become transformed from sinners into Saints.

Thoughts of the Day 7/13/26 pm

Matthew 6:24 (KJB) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

The Apostle Paul was a man that was used by Christ Jesus to preach much of the New Testament that we have today, and although he was a tentmaker by trade, the focal point of his life was using his time to preach and teach the gospel of Christ. But when you look in society today, you will find many false prophets who have turned Christianity into a money-making scheme, making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in personal income. There are so many people in this world that live in poverty from day to day, who don’t even have what they need to plant their crops, yet there are false prophets scattered throughout the world, driving around in vehicles and flying airplanes that are worth enough money that they could feed hundreds of thousands of people. Obviously a preacher can live off the gospel, but these spiritual frauds turn a blind eye to others in need when they have riches beyond compare. Men such as these are a complete wretch, who like Judas, really don’t care at all about poor people. Their minds have become confounded, and are like a man who falls to the ground because he is walking through the darkness without a light. Biblical doctrines on contentment dictate that we show compassion to the suffering and poverty of others, because it is the poor who are rich in faith, and those who turn away their ears from their cries are the enemies of Christ Jesus.
