Matthew 4:17 (KJB) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand means that it is very close, and really, in comparison to eternity, the time that we have here on Earth is very brief. We don’t know when God is going to take us, so we must be prepared now, because today is the day of salvation. Repentance if to have a change in your heart that results in a turning away from all of the works of darkness and walking in the light of biblical truth. When people repent, they are going to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with all of their hearts, and wash their sins away by being baptized into His name. Praise God for His kind-hearted mercies towards us, for granting each one of us a free gift of His grace!

Matthew 5:4 (KJB) Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
What the Lord Jesus is speaking of here, is not about being sad at a funeral, He’s speaking about contrition, which in my own opinion is something that this world lacks more than anything else. To be filled with this quality is to have sincere sorrow, remorse and repentance for wrongdoing. The Apostle James taught the Church that they needed to turn their laughter into mourning and humble themselves in the sight of God, and to truly possess contrition, the heart will become broken and completely overcome with grief for the foolishness of their sinful actions. Only through humble contrition can you ever find forgiveness with God, and be comforted by the Holy Spirit.
