Thoughts of the day 7/27/26

Thoughts of the day 7/27/26 am

Galatians 5:1-4 (KJB) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

When you become a Christian, you are completely freed from the requirements of the Old Testament. For example, circumcision was something that was commanded in Judaism, but now through faith in Christ Jesus, we must become baptized instead. Even today, some people are still trying to keep the things of the Old Testament, thinking that they are going to become pleasing unto God by doing so, but the truth is that no one kept the law, nor can anyone be justified by it. It is for this reason that the Lord came, to set us free from the Old Testament, and begin a brand new covenant with the people of God. Now we must come forth and be justified through faith in Christ Jesus, receiving forgiveness for our sins, and walking in the grace of God.

Thoughts of the Day 6/27/26 pm

Galatians 6:1-2 (KJB) Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

When someone is overtaken in a fault, they recognize the wickedness that they have done, and are filled with sorrow, contrition, and grief. You can tell when people are sorry for the evil things that they have done, because these attributes will be openly displayed in their daily lives. Sincere contrition will have greater sorrow for those whom you have wronged then for yourself, wanting to reach out to them to make it right. When a penitent heart is in this condition, it can be restored once again to fellowship and communion with others in the church. We have the power to release people from the debt of their iniquities, by forgiving them and by suffering the wrongs that were committed against us. So be merciful with others upon their humble confession, and bear the weight of their burdens, just as Jesus forgave you and carried your sins upon Himself.
