Thoughts of the Day 8/16/26 am
James 5:14-15 (KJB) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
As Jesus preached, He also healed sickness and diseases, and gave the same ability to His disciples. Notice the usage of the word “shall” in this verse, because it is mentioned three times, and indicates that the things mentioned will certainly happen. So healing is not a matter of “if” and those who are healed from their infirmities are also forgiven for their sins at the same time.

Philippians 2:5-7 (KJB) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
A reputation is the common opinion that people have about you, and although the Lord Jesus is creator of all things, when they came to take Him in the garden of Gethsemane, He looked just like everybody else. He is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, but they didn’t even know who He was until Judas identified Him by giving Him a kiss. We want to have that same mindset, being filled up with all lowliness and humility, in order to serve one another from a kind and tender heart.
