Thoughts of the Day 8/17/26 am

Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJB)  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Those who are tenderhearted will possess a heartfelt and kind nature towards others. They are very warm and loving and filled up with a great compassion for the sufferings of others. These are the qualities of our precious Lord Jesus, and each of us must wear them like a garment in our daily lives. Rather than doing evil towards each other, we must put away all of the works of the flesh, and love one another, just as the Lord Jesus loved us, and laid down His own life for our salvation. Praise God for all of His abundant mercies!

Psalms 27:8-9 (KJB)  When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

In order to find anything in this life you will have to go looking for it. When people are thirsty, they will find a cold glass of water to drink from the kitchen. When they are hungry, they will open up the cupboard in order to pull out a snack. On an extremely hot day, many people will go in search of a beach where they can cool off on the summer afternoon. Even if you want to find fish for the supper table, you have to go looking for them. God is a rewarder of all those who diligently seek Him, but in order to receive His Divine compensation, you must set aside the time during your day to go and find Him.
