Thoughts of the Day 8/26/26 am
Colossians 3:16 (KJB) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Ever since we were young children, we have learned things by singing songs, such as the alphabet or how to count numbers. Songs are a great medium for education and help us to remember the teachings of our faith. We can take passages of scripture and put them to music, and sing about them throughout our day, filling our hearts with an orchestra of Spiritual wisdom, and songs of praise unto God.

Thoughts of the Day 8/26/26 pm
Colossians 3:23-24 (KJB) And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
How would you treat Jesus if you met him on the street today? Some people might treat him a lot differently than they would others. The Apostle teaches us that we must serve one another heartily, and in the same manner that you would serve Christ Himself. If a man commanded his wife to do something, would she jump at the opportunity to obey him? If he commanded his children to cut the lawn before he got home, would they make sure that it was done according to his wishes? If your employer asked you to sweep out the storage room, would you complete the task diligently with a fervent heart towards him? We serve the Lord Jesus Christ by serving others, whether they are a believer or not. Joseph was sold into slavery, but he was very faithful and obedient to his owner, and Potiphar recognized that the Lord was with him. So the next time that you have the opportunity to serve others, do it in the same manner that you would serve the Lord Jesus Christ, because people will see the heart of a servant, and the precious love of Christ, manifested through your kind-hearted service towards them.
