Thoughts of the Day 8/28/26

Thoughts of the Day 8/28/26 am

James 5:16 (KJB) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If you sin against somebody, charity will cause you to quickly admit your faults unto them so you can be reconciled with each other. Some people think that they only need to confess their sins unto God, but reconciliation with others is commanded by Christ Jesus, and it is something that must be taken care of before you even offer a gift to the church. When you treat a brother in a manner that you would never want to be treated yourself, then you have sinned against them, and the Lord expects you to repent towards them. Pride will prevent this from happening, but if you humble yourself and admit your faults unto them, then they can forgive you and begin praying for you, so you can be healed. Repentance towards others is a huge Doctrine in the Christian Life, and was referred to by the Apostle Paul as the ministry of reconciliation.

Thoughts of the day 8/28/26 pm

Psalms 108:12-13 (KJB) Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Rather than placing his trust in other men to help him, Moses trusted completely in God, and through his faith, the Lord delivered him and the Israelites out of the hand of Pharaoh. When Israel was cornered against the Red Sea, they didn’t take up arms to fight, because it was the Lord who fought the battle for them, and destroyed the armies of Egypt. The Lord Jesus created everything that there is, and when He is on our side, who can stand against Him? The servants of Christ don’t need to avenge themselves, because God will, for He shall deliver them out of the hands of their enemies, and shall utterly crush all of the workers of iniquity.
