Thoughts of the Day 8/30/26 am
1 John 4:5-6 (KJB) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Throughout the world, many people are going to listen to the things that interest them. If someone likes to learn about engine repair, they will find books and study about that specific topic. If people like to cook, they will watch TV programs or videos about how to prepare certain meals. Likewise, people who genuinely believe in Jesus Christ are going to open their hearts and their minds to the teachings of Holy Scripture, because those who truly are of God are going to listen to the things of God.

Colossians 3:9-10 (KJB) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
How many of you get up in the morning, and walk into the bathroom in order to brush your teeth? Most people will do this while looking in the mirror, which reflects a visual representation of yourself. But when we look at ourselves in the mirror, it’s easy to see a person who has been involved in the wicked works of iniquity. But as a Christian, God gives us grace in order to change our lives, so that we can undergo a complete transformation from a sinner into a Saint. Eventually, through a faithful and obedient heart, the old person that we once were will completely disappear, until the only thing that will remain in the mirror, is a man who has taken taken upon himself, the perfect image of our precious Lord Christ Jesus.
