A pattern is something that repeats itself over and over again. You can see them in a patchwork quilt, or even in the linoleum that you purchased for the kitchen floor. A lot of us have a pattern every morning when we rise up out of bed, put on our clothes, and then brush our teeth. These activities are so commonplace that they happen over and over again. So a pattern is a reoccurring event, and each of us need to be filled up with good works that have become such a habitual routine in our lives, that they continually repeat themselves, each and every day!

Titus 3:9 (KJB) But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Many people will put a lot of effort into trying to find out information about who their blood relatives used to be. They want to know who their great great granddad was, and will devote a lot of time during their day trying to determine that. But when we become Christian, we become a part of a brand new family, one that is related by the blood of Christ Jesus. So rather than living in the past, and seeking after information about your Spiritually dead relatives, it’s much better to seek after the Lord Jesus Christ, and spend time with others who are of a like-minded faith, and worship the Lord out of a pure heart.
