Thoughts of the Day 9/19/26 am
Luke 13:23-24 (KJB) Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Many athletes understand the meaning of what it means to strive, because if they are going to win some type of competition, they will have to put forth an extremely strong effort in order to achieve the final victory. Success doesn’t come easy, it requires focused determination, a quality that people are going to need if they genuinely want to inherit eternal life. The Lord Jesus died on the cross so that we could have the opportunity to become transformed from sinners into Saints, but we must labor diligently in order to enter into Eternal rest. There are numerous people who compete in the Olympics, but many of them will come home without a medal, so make sure that you strive diligently in order to receive the prize of eternal life.

Thoughts of the day 9/19/26 pm
1 John 3:18-19 (KJB) My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
I’m sure that there are many of you who have had others tell you how much that they care about you. Perhaps it was a parent or a sibling, or maybe it was a neighbor or a close friend from school. Sometimes people will tell you how much that they love you, but love demands much more than just lip service. Even in a marriage, love requires much more than words, it requires proving the sincerity of your love by your kind-hearted deeds towards each other. You might hug somebody else as they leave the house in the morning, you might even tell them how much that you love them, but what did you do for them today that actually meant something to them? Claiming to love others without any kinds of works to back it up, is like having a beautiful brand new car on the exterior, but underneath the hood, there is no engine to drive it. The Christian Life is much more than just words, it is a faith that requires actions, and proving to others how much that you care about them by your deeds. Likewise, do you claim to love Jesus with your lips? Then where are your deeds towards Him?
