Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
Eternal security, otherwise known as the theory of “once saved always saved” has been put forth by many false forms of Christianity, and is a heretical belief that is clearly taught by liars and false prophets It is impossible to accept this philosophy after reading through numerous passages in Holy Scripture, because it is obvious that many people are going to begin the Christian Life but will not enter into eternity. John Calvin and other people such as him who preach such nonsense are blatant heretics, and without repentance will be condemned of themselves. I’m not sure what these people are reading, but it’s not the teachings of the King James Bible. Some people claim that this was originally taught back in the 5th century in Catholicism, but the Lord Jesus Himself taught that some people were going to turn away from the faith in the parable of the sower. So, to actually believe in the false doctrine of once saved always saved is to reject the warnings that were given by the creator of Heaven and Earth.
Mark 4:15-19 (KJB) And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Eternal security is a massive fraud, because the Apostle Paul who was chosen by God warned the church that there were many people who had rejected the faith and were damned already.
1 Timothy 5:12 (KJB) Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
Titus 3:11 (KJB) Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
When people turn away from the teachings of the faith, the Apostles referred to them as Antichrist.
1 John 2:18-19 (KJB) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
So even though they began the Christian Life and got baptized and partook of Holy Communion, some will depart from the Scriptural teachings of our faith because of an evil heart of unbelief. To profess faith without any kind of repentance and obedience towards God is not faith at all, it is a complete lie.
Hebrews 3:12-13 (KJB) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Some people think that just because they claim to believe in Jesus that they are somehow exempt from any kind of judgment, but whether someone claims to be a Christian or not, without repentance and humble submission to God’s purpose in their life, all of them will end up in the lake of fire together. The Pharisees once felt that they were guaranteed a place in heaven simply because they had been circumcised in the flesh, but John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus warned them about what would happen to them without repentance. The same thing that was going on then is happening today in modern forms of false Christianity, places that are filled up with people who completely reject the path of repentance, and embrace the heretical doctrine of eternal security instead.
Hebrews 10:26-31 (KJB) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Some people might devote themselves to the Christian life for many years, but then for whatever the reason, they become entangled with sin all over again, and lose their own soul in the process.
2 Peter 2:20-22 (KJB) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Throughout this world you are going to find liars and seducers, who can appear in the form of religious leaders, relatives, in-laws, grandparents, neighbors, and false prophets. Some people are going to believe them above and beyond the teachings of the New Testament, and when that happens, they are proving by their own actions that they love them more than our precious Lord Jesus, which will inevitably result in their own damnation. the Holy Spirit teaches that not everybody will be saved, and those who preach otherwise are complete frauds.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Because they chose not to believe the Truth of scripture, God will cause them to believe a lie instead, making them believe that they will be in heaven, but the truth is that they are condemned to an everlasting lake of fire.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 (KJB) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Once saved always saved, absolutely not, because just like the devil Himself they usurp over the warnings of Christ.
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJB) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
So you see, once saved always saved is a pack of lies that is put forth by heretics and false prophets, which is oftentimes used to keep people sitting comfortably in the pews and continuing to put money in the offering plate. Jesus loved us all, but these people never loved Him back enough to become faithful and obedient to the will of God. If people are not going to search the Scriptures, repent, and do the will of God from the heart, then they certainly are not going to be in heaven, because there is no such thing as,……
