Thoughts of the Day 9/26/26 am
2 Corinthians 6:1 (KJB) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
To receive God’s forgiveness in vain is to get forgiven for your sins, but it doesn’t result in a changed life. God extends to us a precious gift of His grace, but it is given for a reason, so that we use it to be completely transformed into faithful and obedient children of God. Jesus suffered and died on the cross so that we could have the opportunity to be forgiven for our sins, but we must use His mercies to become brand new creatures in Christ Jesus. God’s forgiveness is the most incredible treasure that you will ever find in this world, but it is meant to bring us to a place of contrition and repentance, so that we can undergo a heartfelt transformation from sinners into Saints.

Thoughts of the day 9/26/26 pm
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (KJB) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
It’s a good thing to give generously to the Servants of Christ Jesus, men who have devoted much of their time to ministering the things of God to others. People give their money to many different things in this world, such as saving the whales, or protecting the rainforests, but the facts are, that when you give to the work of a preacher, you become a part of the Eternal salvation of people’s souls. But just like planting tomato seeds out in the garden, the more financial seeds that you sow, the more fruit that you are going to reap. God sees the sincerity of your heart and the things that you give, and will reward you accordingly. But the Apostle reminds the church that whatever they give, it must be done with a cheerful heart. Don’t let false prophets deceive you, tithing is nowhere to be found in the Christian faith, and it is put forth by greedy and covetous wolves in order to lighten your wallet and sustain their own false religious beliefs. In Christianity, it is a free will offering not mandatory. There was a poor widow in the Gospels who loved the Lord so much that she gave everything that she had, but whatever you might give, do it with a cheerful and grateful heart and in remembrance of what Jesus did for each of us on the cross. Don’t forget that before offering a gift, God commands that you must first repent and be reconciled with a brother that you have wronged, because repentance is more important to God than sacrifice.
