Thoughts of the day 9/27/26 am

1 Peter 5:2-4 (KJB) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Many people who take care of livestock understand that they need to be fed each and every day, and Men of God who minister His Holy Word must do the same for the sheep of God. Sometimes a person will only complete a task when they are forced to do it, but preaching must be a labor of love, and done with a grateful heart towards the one who died on the cross for our sins. A lot of the time, people will only become motivated to do something if it is going to result in a large paycheck, but the Apostle Paul loved the Lord, and continued to preach the gospel even when it required freely volunteering his time. Just like helping out hungry creatures on the farm, it requires love for the sheep of God to reach out to their daily needs and feed them with Scripture, and tenderhearted men who diligently pursue these activities are going to be rewarded by God, both here on this Earth and in His Heavenly Kingdom to come.

Thoughts of the day 9/27/26 pm

Psalms 91:14-16 (KJB) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

The Lord Jesus knows exactly who loves and serves Him out of a faithful and obedient heart, and when the Lord abides in your heart above all others, He is going to bring forth great rewards in your life. The Lord doesn’t hear the prayers of the impenitent, but on the other hand, He will quickly come to the aid of His obedient servants. He will shine down His light upon them, delivering them from evil and showering them with His glory and honor. The Lord Jesus Christ is glorified in His Saints, and He will grant unto them an extended life while here upon the Earth and everlasting life in the world to come. Praise God for his Mercy and Divine allotment of His grace, so that we could be transformed from the most wretched of sinners, into new creatures in Christ Jesus!
