Thoughts of the Day 10/1/26 am
Colossians 3:1-2 (KJB) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
To be affectionate is to have a great fondness for someone or something. It also means to have a very close bond and a great desire to spend time together. People can place their hearts and minds on many different temporal things in this world, but the Earth and everything in it will eventually be gone. Rather than focusing on what’s fading away, we must look to what is coming in the future by placing our affection on the things that are eternal, such as the Everlasting kingdom of God, and our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thoughts of the day 10/1/26 pm
Colossians 3:23-24 (KJB) And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
We are supposed to treat other men in the same manner that you would treat the Lord Jesus Christ. For example, maybe you have an employer who gives you a list of things to get done, and when you complete them swiftly and with a cheerful heart, you are showing them a servant’s heart. Consider Joseph who was a faithful and loyal servant of Potiphar, and through his actions, He could see that the Lord was with Him. Whatever things you might be involved with, make sure that you do it from the heart, serving other men in this world in the exact same manner that you would serve Christ Jesus.
