Thoughts of the day 10/2/26 am

Galatians 6:7-8 (KJB) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Everybody is going to reap what they have sown whether it is good or evil. Consider the Egyptian Pharaoh, who sent out his soldiers to kill the firstborn of Israel. Because he was going to do this wicked deed, God killed the firstborn of Israel. You reap back what you sow. Goliath wanted to defeat the armies of Israel and destroy God’s servant David, so God destroyed him. You reap back what you sow. Annanias and Sapphira were greedy landowners who outright lied to God’s humble servant Peter, so God killed them on the spot. You reap back what you sow. Jezebel usurped over her own husband, and because of it she was eaten by dogs. You reap back what you sow. What goes around comes around and those who do wickedly towards others are going to reap back what they have sown, and will have to face the wrath and Justice, of the Lord God Almighty.

Thoughts of the Day 10/2/26 pm

Psalms 136:1-4 (KJB) O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.

The Lord Jesus is perfectly good, and the Divine manifestation of everything that is righteous. After all, He created this entire world for each of us to dwell in, and none of us had to do anything to obtain it. Everything was freely given to us to enjoy, from all of the fresh meat swimming in the lakes, to the miraculous food that grows right out of the ground. Each day He makes the sun shine on the evil and the good because that is His nature, because He cares for all of us. He doesn’t want anybody to perish but desires that everyone comes to a place of repentance, and turns from the wickedness of our own sinful deeds in order to walk in the light of God’s truth.

Sometimes people who grow up in a wealthy home are not as grateful for the things that they already have, and the reason why is because they have had it ever since their birth. To truly be thankful one must examine where they would be in their life if everything was suddenly taken away from them. Imagine if the Lord wasn’t as merciful and long suffering with this world as He certainly is, because the Earth would have been destroyed many years ago. Each day that we get up out of bed is a gift from God, as He extends to each one of us an opportunity to repent of our sins and gives us the grace that we need to completely overcome the sins of the flesh. May our praises never cease at the rememberance of His incredible patience, and the remarkable mercies of our precious Lord Jesus.
