Psalms 51:1 (KJB) Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
When you blot something out, you are covering it up so it cannot be seen. It also means to erase and make writings completely unreadable to others. Perhaps you can remember writing something in elementary school and when you made a mistake, you took your pen and scribbled over the word so it was no longer legible. All of us have sinned at one time or the other, but when we come to Christ Jesus in faith, and humbly confess our faults, we can find mercy with Him, as He covers up our faults, and blots out all of our iniquities.

Psalms 86:5 (KJB) For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
How many times each day do you get ready to do something? Maybe you get ready to jump on the school bus. Maybe you get ready to leave for work. Maybe you get ready to go camping for the weekend. Ready is defined as being completely prepared, equipped, and in the condition for immediate action. God is ready to forgive us for sins, and prepared to grant us the grace that we need, but it will require humility, Godly sorrow, and the confession of your sins. When you humble yourself before Him with a sincere and contrite heart, He is ready to reach out and forgive you of all of your iniquities. So therefore, humble yourselves before Him, and God shall lift you up.
