Thoughts of the Day 10/31/26

Thoughts of the Day 10/31/26 am

Psalms 40:5 (KJB) Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Think about all the wonderful things that God has done for us. He created this Earth for us to dwell on, along with food that grows miraculously right out of the ground. He gives us meat to eat and lots of fish in the lakes. He causes the warmth of the Sun to shine upon us during the day, and the moon to light our path at night. Our Lord Jesus even came down to this earth and died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins. All the books that have ever been written could never contain all of the incredible works that God continues to do towards us each day. So lift up your thankful hearts unto Him, at every remembrance of His kindness, and never cease to laud Him with our praise!

Thoughts of the Day 10/31/26 pm

Galatians 6:1-2 (KJB) Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

When someone is overtaken in a fault, they will be filled up with absolute grief and godly sorrow for the wrongs that they have committed. For example, the Apostle Peter was overtaken in a fault and wept bitterly when he denied Jesus three times before the crucifixion. In order for people to find forgiveness with God and others, requires humility and contrition, and you will know when they possess it because they will be utterly heartbroken. At that point they can be restored, but it must be done in a spirit of meekness, with the understanding that God has brought them to a place of repentance, and that all of us have sinned too. When you finally forgive others, you are carrying the heavy weight of their sins for them, just as Jesus suffered and carried our sins to the cross. This is one of the greatest laws of Christ, showing mercy to the humble minded, forgiving those who are filled with a contrite heart, and restoring the souls of the penitent.
