Morning
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
The Lord Jesus taught in the parable of the sower that some people would begin the Christian Life, but then eventually depart from the faith. Their hearts that were once fervently serving and seeking God will turn back to the things of the world instead. When this happens, their ears will perk up to deceivers, such as false prophets and devils, and because they have rejected the way of Truth they will believe their lies instead. Like a piece of burned meat their consciences will become seared and utterly defiled before God.

Evening
Romans 13:11-12 (KJB) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
When I was a youngster, we had a really long ride each morning on the school bus, but I used to lay my head against the window and would quickly fall asleep. But it seemed like a blink of an eye when we suddenly arrived at the school, and all of the students needed to disembark and go to our first class. When we are asleep, we are really not conscious of what is happening around us. Paul warned the church that they needed to wake up, because each day that goes by, the day of judgment is one day closer for each of us. Rather than sleeping your life away in sinful living, you must turn away from them all, repenting of wicked works, and walking in the light of God’s Truth.
