Proverbs 16:6 (KJB) By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
God loved this world so much that He sent Jesus as an atonement for the sins of men. We are in the age of His Grace, and have an abundance of His Mercy available for the forgiveness of sins. But many people have no fear of God whatsoever, because they don’t even consider the serious consequences for sinful living. Those who name the name of Christ Jesus are to depart from iniquity, and one must always remember that the Lord Jesus warned His disciples to fear God, because He is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. To possess the fear of God is to understand what He is going to do to the impenitent, and all those who reject the narrow path of repentance from dead works. So turn away from your sinful deeds, and ye shall live!

Evening
Ephesians 5:8-10 (KJB) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
How many of you were looking to purchase a vehicle for your family, but before you bought it, you took it out for a test drive first? You wanted to make sure that it was everything that the salesman had claimed it to be, and if it was, then you went back into the office and signed the paperwork. Many people can claim to be a Christian with their lips, but that is nothing in comparison to living the obedient life of a Christian. We need to demonstrate to the Lord Jesus by our actions, that we are actively involved in turning away from sinful living, and walking according to the doctrines of the New Testament faith. We must become doers of the Word and not just hearers only, confirming our hearts before Him that we truly are His faithful followers.
