Thoughts of the Day 7/29/26 am

Hebrews 11:6 (KJB) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The only way that we can do the will of God is when we possess sincere faith in Him, and when we truly believe in God, we are going to know in our hearts that He is going to reward us for a seeking heart. Even at a job, an employer will reward you for the time that you spent at work, and our God will certainly recompense you for the time that you have invested in seeking after Him with a diligent heart.

Hebrews 12:5-6 (KJB) And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Rebukes and corrections come from those who care enough about you to turn you away from the wrong path that you are heading down. The teachings of scripture are filled with corrections, for the purpose of warning us about the consequences for those who choose to live in sin. If you had a dad who never rebuked you when you had it coming, then you never really had a dad at all. A dad has been ordained by God as an authority figure in his home, to render his kind approval for your good deeds, or correction for your wicked activities. When you are corrected by the Lord Jesus, count it as a blessing, because He loves you enough to discipline you when you wander away from His calling and purpose, and we should bless Him for doing so.
