Thoughts of the Day 8/1/26

Thoughts of the Day 8/1/26 am

1 Peter 3:1-2 (KJB) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear

Women are forbidden from preaching God’s Word, but a husband can be won to Christ Jesus through a wife’s obedience to her spouse. When she has a chaste and pure heart towards him and loves him from the depths of her soul, he can be saved. She must exhibit a fearful respect towards his leadership in the home, and obey him in everything, and never cease to pray diligently for his soul.

Thoughts of the Day 8/1/26 pm

1 Peter 3:17-18 (KJB) For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

In the Christian faith, even when your spouse commits adultery against you, you are not supposed to divorce them because it is forbidden in the teachings of the New Testament. A spouse can bring their mate to Christ through the unjust suffering that is put forth towards them during their marriage. After all, this is exactly what Jesus Christ did for each of us when He died on the cross for our sins. Divine charity puts up with a lot of suffering, which is why divorce is the prime example of a refusal to exercise charity towards others. To be successful at the Christian Life, it does not matter how we are treated by others, but how we treat them, and divorce is an utter failure of divine charity, and an absolutely refusal to love the person that God has brought you to. Don’t ever divorce your spouse, because even through their own wicked behavior, your merciful treatment of them can be the access point to their own salvation.
