Thoughts of the Day 8/4/26 am

Philippians 2:14-15 (KJB) Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

When someone is blameless, they are without any fault and free from wrongdoing, and when you become a Christian, God wants each of us to move on unto perfection and learn to go and sin no more. We must strive after faithful obedience towards the perfect will of God, renouncing all of the works of darkness, and walking in the brightness of His light. In order to become sons of God, we must mature in our faith, so that we can become pleasing unto Him in everything that we do. We must learn to love God from a pure and sincere heart, by walking each day in the true Grace of God, and living our lives without rebuke before Him.

Psalms 75:4-7 (KJB) I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

The disciples of Christ spent their life warning, correcting and rebuking the church, in order to make sure that they were keeping on the narrow path of Christ. But God will resist the proudhearted, along with all those who choose to live a life of stiff-necked rebellion and impenitence. In order to be lifted up in the sight of God, one must humble themselves before Him, because promotion will only come through contrition, and by the mighty hand of God.
