Colossians 1:9-10 (KJB) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
When you have a job, in order to please your employer, you must understand the things that he wants you to do, and likewise, in order to become pleasing unto God, you must understand the things that He wants us to do. The Apostle wanted the church to be filled with Spiritual knowledge so they could do this very thing, but it’s going to require seeking diligently after the wisdom which is found throughout God’s Holy Word. To become a Christian you must become educated in the Spiritual things of God, maturing each day in the teachings of our faith. The more that we understand the will of God, the more that we can become obedient to His calling for our lives, and be transformed from a sinner into a Saint.

Psalms 54:4-5 (KJB) Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
The Lord reaches out to help His faithful servants, through all of the sufferings they endure. His hand is over the righteous, but all the wicked shall He punish, even unto the ends of the Earth. God is a helper to all those who serve Him, but the lives of the wicked shall He turn upside down. The Lord is with them who help those who serve Him, and will bless them both now and forever.
