1 Corinthians 15:1-2 (KJB) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
How many of you took certain classes in high school, but now as a grown adult, you can’t remember anything that you learned? How many of you planned to do certain things next week, but you never got them done because they completely slipped your mind? Occasionally we might forget about things in this world, but you never want to forget what you have learned from the teachings of Holy Scripture. The Bible warns numerous times about being a forgetful hearer, because when you forget about something, it’s not going to get done. This is why we need to seek the Scriptures daily, and constantly refresh ourselves about matters concerning our own salvation, and the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Thoughts of the Day 8-21-26
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJB) Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
When you choose to become a Christian, you are going to suffer some sort of persecution and tribulation, and it will usually begin with your own relatives and family members who will speak maliciously about you and cast out your name as evil. This happened to the disciples that are found throughout the New Testament, and it will happen to all those who choose to become faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey, and when we serve the Lord Jesus with an obedient heart, He will comfort us in whatever we have to deal with in this life. Sometimes there can be incredible storms that arise, brought upon by those who hate Christ and those who rebel against His teachings, but God knows His sheep, and will comfort His obedient children. Rather than looking at the situation around you, look to Christ Jesus our Lord, who brings peace in times of tribulation, and comfort to all those who obey Him. Praise God for the gift of His Holy Spirit, and again I say, PRAISE GOD!
