Thoughts of the Day 9/10/26 am
Romans 5:17-18 (KJB) For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t mind when somebody offers me something for free, but sometimes I never understand why people refuse to accept the free gift of God’s forgiveness that is available in Christ Jesus our Lord. All of us are a bunch of wretched sinners, unworthy creatures who really don’t deserve any kindness extended to us at all. But even in our own stupidity, God wants to cleanse us from our sins, being merciful with our faults and forgetting about our past. Like a judge who expunges a criminal record, God cleanses us from our litany of failures, granting us a heavenly pardon and releasing us from the punishment that each of us rightly deserve.
None of us have clean hands, whether you are in the highest places of authority, or the lowest person on the Earth, but like having access to a free shower, each of us need to wash away our sins by stepping into the free gift of God’s mercy. In order to become righteous, it will never happen on your own, and there is only one way that you are ever going to find it. You must first walk through the door of God’s mercy and receive the free gift of God’s forgiveness, being cleansed for your faults, and washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Thoughts of the Day 9/10/26 pm
Romans 6:1-2 (KJB) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
I’ve always heated up water in our house by hand, either by placing it on the woodcook stove, or outside over a fire. One time I had four gallons of steaming hot water that I took off the campfire, and as I went to dump it into a larger tub, the handle broke, and the boiling water splashed all over my bare arm. I had some pretty severe burns that had to deal with for a month, and because of this, I now put on a heavy canvas jacket whenever I move around hot water. Whenever we do something wrong during our life, or an accident results because of something that we did, most of us don’t do it again because we understand the consequences for our actions. Likewise, whenever you get involved with sin, there are going to be negative repercussions for what you do, although sometimes they are not immediate. Everybody is going to reap what they have sown, and eventually the things that people.have done are going to catch up with them. God grants us a gift of forgiveness through the blood of Christ Jesus, but to get forgiven for your sins and then get involved with them all over again is just like a pig who has been washed jumping right back into the mud. God is very merciful towards sinners, but make sure that you never abuse His kindness. People should be wise enough to learn a lesson from their mistakes, because if you can’t do that, then you are nothing but a fool.
