Thoughts of the Day 9/14/26

Thoughts of the Day 9/14/26 am

Matthew 18:21-22 (KJB) Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Our God is incredibly merciful, laying down His own life on the cross as an atonement for our sins. The Lord is ready to forgive, and filled up with an abundance of forgiveness for sinners. Jesus taught Peter to be extremely forgiving wifh a brother, just as He is towards us. Peter wept bitterly when he sinned against the Lord Jesus, but he was later forgiven and restored to Apostleship. But when someone sins, whether it’s towards God or others, in order to re-enter into a state of grace with Him it will first require the humble confession of your faults. As I have said many times before, pride is an absolutely dangerous thing to get oneself involved with, because a person’s heart will become so hardened that they will absolutely refuse to admit wrongdoing. Even when The Prodigal Son return back home, he openly confessed his fault to his dad and received complete remission for his sins. The key to unlock the door of God’s grace is to be able to admit the sinful things that you have done, because only through humble contrition can we ever be sent free from them.

Thoughts of the Day 9/14/26 pm

Ephesians 2:4-5 (KJB) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Sometimes people can become rich by discovering a treasure chest that has been buried in the ground, and when they finally get it open, they will find many different coins, cash and other Earthly wealth. But our precious Lord Jesus is filled up with a treasure chest that is packed full of mercy, and He is eager to forgive us for all of the sins that we have committed. The wages of sin is death, but just as He delivered the Israelites out of Egypt, God wants to save us from the punishment for our own sins. He desires to quicken us by giving us access to the incredible riches of His grace, and granting us a double portion of His mercy, and that my friends is the greatest treasure chest that you are ever going find!
